Each episode will start with "exploration and adventure with local food heroes," according to a National Geographic. Announcement of the new series caused backlash on social media, which prompted National Geographic to release a statement ahead of the show's production. "We are disappointed that the announcement of our upcoming series with Gordon Ramsay was taken out of context," a spokesperson for National Geographic told Eater.
