It added: 'It is likely at times we will have to proactively cancel some services and re-book customers on to alternative flights. 'Customers on cancelled services can also claim a full refund if they no longer wish to travel.

Train companies have put out advice about when to travel and whether to expect delays as the Met Office gives out amber and yellow snow warnings. Here is the latest travel information.

The influx of snow courtesy of the Beast from the East has caused long queues on the motorways, delays on train lines and cancellations at airports. It said: 'There is the potential for travel delays on roads, with some stranded vehicles and passengers, as well as delays or cancellations to rail and air travel. British Airways has cancelled dozens of flights from Heathrow Airport, while easyJet warned disruption to its flights was expected. Forecasters are predicting 5cm-10cm of snow will fall for most areas of the UK, with up to 40cm possible for higher ground in Scotland.
