'It's a shambles' Gatwick Airport train passengers FUME after travel nightmare

CHAOS: Passengers reported delays of up to two hours at Gatwick AirportRail engineering works between Gatwick and Three Bridges caused havoc at the airport's station, with thousands forced to queue up for replacement buses. At one point train company Southern Rail even advised passengers not to travel from the airport. Disruption between Gatwick and Brighton is expected to remain until the end of the day, with passengers earlier told to avoid travelling between the two. Up to 4,000 were left stranded, with passengers warning that fights were breaking out among furious Bank Holiday travellers. In a statement, Southern Rail said: "There are currently large queues for the replacement bus services at Gatwick Airport and overcrowding at the station.
