At this week's Blockchain Summit in London, it seemed the whole world was out to play in the unusual sunshine. Maybe there's a number of self-Satoshis who wander around bitcoin and blockchain conferences freaking attendees out; we may never know. One panel introduced smart representatives from Orcale Cloud, publisher MindShare, the Blockchain Lead from the London Stock Exchange and the (very) gregarious Mathias Lundoe Nielsen, founder CEO of travel marketplace Nustay.com. His company uses Big Data and algorithms to create a personalized booking experience for customers through the use of blockchain. If his company can use blockchain to determine whether a travel company is being economical with the truth when describing 'beachfront' locations, then we will have a winner, folks.
Travel Stories Drive New Winners In Week Three Of #MyTopCollege
California State University, Fullerton kept its first place slot with the greatest number of total posts, while California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), rose from fourth to second place. One of the largest universities in California state by enrollment, CSULB has flexible study abroad options. I never thought study abroad would be a posibility for me but thanks to @CSULB it became a reality. #mytopcollege #impact #GoBeach @ForbesEDU pic.twitter.com/puo0EYU8o4 — Elizabeth solorio (@Elyyy310) July 3, 2018This summer I completed a 2nd study abroad to China! We welcome two newcomers to our top 10 this week: Fresno State University and Saint Francis University. If You Miss Anthony Bourdain, These New Travel Shows Might Help Fill The Void
As it stated in > PBSAnthony Bourdains unique approach to travel television created an avid fan base that is still mourning his death. But some new shows are reaching screens that might help fill the void. His brother produces the travel program, and he Skypes home to his spry elderly parents at some point during each episode. In press materials for the program, Samuelsson said the show will focus heavily on the stories of immigrants, like himself. CNN recently aired the final two episodes of Parts Unknown that were completed before Bourdain died by suicide on June 8.New University Rules Encourage Scientists to Avoid Air Travel
Both the Sunset Limited and the Crescent would end up in New Orleans, where Scott, Ravikumar, and thousands more were attending a week-long meeting of the American Geophysical Union. Many of them study climate change: They make the graphs and draw the maps that translate carbon emissions into starker storms, longer droughts, or damaged crops. What Scott, Ravikumar, and some other scientists are doing is trying to reduce their carbon emissions by taking less energy-intense forms of transportation. Instead, administrators at that university seek to mitigate flight emissions through flat fees: $9 per domestic flight and $25 per international flight, taken out of the relevant department's budget. The fees will go toward emissions-reducing projects on the UCLA campus, such as energy retrofitting or solar panels—although the energy savings are unlikely to fully offset flights' carbon emissions.
